Group organisers

Whether you are arranging a family get together, a social club outing or a group away day we would be delighted to help you arrange your visit. We aim to make organising a visit to Britannia as easy as possible and with our local knowledge we can offer excellent advice on planning your visit.

As we get very busy, particularly during the summer months, please ensure your group booking is made in advance of selling your tour. By booking well in advance you can be more sure of securing your ideal date and time. We are very flexible concerning the confirmation of final numbers and will only charge for the number of people who actually visit.

Leaflets and posters

To help you promote your visit we will be happy to send you leaflets or full colour A4 posters. We can also supply high resolution images of Britannia for use with your own promotional material.

If you would like to receive copies of our promotional flyer, available in each of our audio tour language options, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Also, as group organiser, if you would like a preview visit we will be happy to arrange this.

Group arrival times

When booking your group visit you will be allocated an arrival time. These times are generally at 15 minute intervals throughout the day. Please try to arrive at our Visitor Centre as close to this time as possible. You should allow at least 1½ hours for your visit (up to 2½ hours during August). If you would like to visit Britannia at a quieter time we would suggest booking a time before 10.30am or after 2.30pm.

Visitors' book

“Our son Jon lives in Edinburgh and works in Leith so we walked from Dean Village along the Water of Leith, had lunch with Jon and then spent the afternoon on the Britannia. The Royal Yacht is certainly well worth a visit and I am planning to return in January with my sister. The engine room and the laundry are testimony to an era when things were made to last. I wish I was on the sun deck now with a G&T. Well worth a visit.”
