Dinners
Britannia’s State Dining Room provides a dramatic backdrop for special occasions such as an awards ceremony, a product launch or the Chairman’s retirement dinner. Seating up to 96 guests, this magnificent room is lined with gifts and original artefacts presented to the Royal Family around the world. Every event is carefully planned and orchestrated by a dedicated Event Manager; so you can relax and enjoy hosting the event as much as your guests will enjoy attending it.
Your guests will come aboard via the Royal Brow, an honour previously reserved for members of the Royal Family and Heads of State, and as they arrive Britannia’s Pipe Major will play. Each guest will be welcomed into the State Drawing Room with a glass of chilled champagne and a selection of canapés before being invited on a tour of the Yacht.
Grand mahogany doors will then open to reveal the State Dining Room in all its splendour, lit by candlelight and impressively set, ready for an evening of dining pleasure. All of the food on board Britannia is freshly prepared by our talented team in the Royal Galley from Scotland’s finest seasonal ingredients. Once you and your guests have finished eating you may choose to hear from a former Admiral or light the sky with a dazzling firework display. We can even organise The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines to appear on the quayside and perform a Beat the Retreat.
Our forthcoming Royal Deck will seat 80 for dinner or 176 when combined with the State Dining Room. This stunning room will have magnificent views over the Firth of Forth and will extend the after-dinner entertainment opportunities available, with possibilities for jazz and swing bands or ceilidhs.
Whatever the occasion, Britannia is a unique venue where exceptional service and superb menus make for a truly memorable event. We would be delighted to discuss your own particular event ideas or, if you would prefer, make one or two suggestions ourselves.
